If you've spent money on shampoos, supplements, and serums that didn't work, you're not alone. Most of the people who come to me have been guessing for years. Testing doesn't replace a consultation, but it can take a lot of the guesswork out of what comes next.
I offer two tests. They answer very different questions.
Epigenetic Hair Strand Analysis — "What does my body need right now?"
I pull four hair strands, and the analysis looks at nine markers, including vitamins, minerals, and foods. Think of it as a snapshot of current wellness factors that may be affecting your hair.
Best for: shedding with no clear cause, fatigue or diet changes, recent stress, or anyone who wants a nutrition and lifestyle roadmap.
Keep in mind: this is a wellness tool, not a medical diagnosis. It doesn't replace bloodwork. If something points to iron, thyroid, or hormones, I'll recommend you confirm it with your doctor.
DNA Test for Hair Loss — "Which treatments are most likely to work for me?"
This test looks at genetic markers tied to hair loss and to how your body may respond to common treatments. It can flag, for example, how you're likely to process certain topical and oral options, which helps me avoid recommending something your body is unlikely to respond to.
Best for: pattern thinning (androgenetic alopecia), a family history of hair loss, or anyone who's tried treatments without results and wants to stop wasting time and money.
Keep in mind: your genes don't change, so this is a one-time test. It shows tendencies, not guarantees.

Do you need a test at all?
Not always. Many clients get a clear plan from a Hair + Scalp Evaluation alone. I recommend testing when the picture is unclear, when more than one factor seems to be involved, or when you want your treatment dollars aimed as precisely as possible.
The bottom line
Epigenetic analysis looks at what's happening now. DNA testing looks at what you're built for. Together with a hands-on evaluation, they help me build a plan around you — not a trend.
Done guessing? Book your Hair + Scalp Evaluation and ask about testing at your visit.
